After our Final Four battled it out for the most streams this week, two finalists have emerged victorious. One is an upset, and the other is a landslide victory, but both have shown they have what it takes to become champion of FanLabel March Madness!
Here are our two finalists:
Kodak Black – “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy”
While it lagged behind Summer Walker’s hit Drake collab by nearly 3 million streams at the beginning of the week, Kodak’s newest single soared past its competitor in this week’s biggest upset. Accumulating over 7.5 million streams this week alone, “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy” actually increased its performance from 6 million streams during the week before. Now that’s staying power!
Jonas Brothers – “Sucker”
While Juice WRLD’s “Hear Me Calling” was streamed over 18 million times last week, it was blown out by the heavily favored Jonas Brothers single. No surprises here. Another landslide victory from the Jonas Brothers’ triumphant return to the pop arena brings it to the final round.
While the Jonas Brothers’ hit racked up over triple the streams of Kodak Black’s single, its streams this week decreased by 20 million compared to the week before. Meanwhile, Kodak’s “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy” increased by almost 3 million streams. It appears that while Kodak’s single continues to increase in popularity, the Jonas Brothers’ hit is losing momentum.
Our Prediction: “Sucker” holds its place at the top.
Streams of Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker” decreased by 19.9 million, a 43 percent decrease. If this trend continues, listeners are projected to stream “Sucker” 15,144,096 times.
Streams of Kodak Black’s “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy” increased by 1.3 million, a 20 percent increase. If this trend continues, listeners are projected to stream “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy” 9,081,174 times.
While “Sucker” is projected to beat out “Pimpin Ain’t Eazy” by over 6 million streams, anything can happen in the dynamic and unpredictable music industry. Will the underdog Kodak Black surpass the Jonas Brothers, or will the “Sucker” have enough staying power to win?
